Text with words to swap

Result

How does it work?

This tool swaps all occurrences of two specified words in your text. It uses word boundary matching to ensure that only complete words are swapped, not parts of other words.

Example of swapping words

Original text

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
The lazy dog watches the quick brown fox.
A fox is quick and brown, while a dog is lazy.

After swapping "fox" and "dog"

The quick brown dog jumps over the lazy fox.
The lazy fox watches the quick brown dog.
A dog is quick and brown, while a fox is lazy.

This tool is useful for:

  • Quickly replacing terms throughout a document
  • Changing perspective in text (e.g., swapping "I" and "you")
  • Correcting consistently misused words
  • Creating variations of text for testing or creative purposes
  • Anonymizing text by swapping specific names

Options:

  • First word: The word to be replaced by the second word.
  • Second word: The word to be replaced by the first word.
  • Case sensitive matching: When enabled, "Word" and "word" are treated as different words. When disabled, they are considered the same word (but the original case of each occurrence is preserved in the result).

Note:

This tool only swaps complete words, not parts of words. For example, swapping "cat" and "dog" will not affect the word "category". The tool uses word boundaries to ensure accurate replacements.
