How does it work?
This tool swaps all occurrences of specified characters or selections (substrings) in your text. You can choose between two modes:
- Swap Characters: Replaces individual characters with each other.
- Swap Selections: Replaces longer text selections (substrings) with each other.

- Quickly replacing characters throughout a document
- Creating cipher text by swapping letters
- Fixing consistent typos or character errors
- Swapping terms or phrases in text
- Creating variations of text for testing
Options:
- Swap mode: Choose between swapping individual characters or longer text selections.
- First character/selection: The character or text to be replaced by the second one.
- Second character/selection: The character or text to be replaced by the first one.
- Case sensitive matching: When enabled, uppercase and lowercase letters are treated as different. When disabled, they are considered the same (but the original case of each occurrence is preserved in the result).
Note:
In "Swap Characters" mode, you can enter multiple characters, but the tool will treat them as individual characters to swap. If you want to swap longer text segments, use "Swap Selections" mode instead.
